Construction Industry
My career started at a specialty construction management firm with 2 people utilizing only pass through bids. Even though I was only hired as a Project Manager, I saw opportunities for growth and led scaling the company into 5 specialty scopes, developed an estimating department with direct turnkey bidding, achieved distributorship status with 4 suppliers, onboarded W2 installation crews, developed all PMO practices and collateral, brought technology & software usage all while still managing complex construction projects.
- Project Management – I managed simultaneous complex multi-scope / floor construction projects for clients such as, University of Texas, City of Austin, Military installations, Boeing, Medical Facilities and many other institutions.
- Estimating – Developed internal estimating department from scratch, advancing to City & Government level bid packages with 80% and higher acceptance rate and 98% accuracy. (Yes, for real. Did I mention I am detail-oriented?)
- Operations Management – Created PMO methods, documentation, file systems, processes, and procedures. Advanced field to office communications by implementing technology solutions.

Software SaaS
I made a deliberate transition to the software industry due to my love of innovation. I leveraged my Project Management skills, deep knowledge of the specialty construction industry, and Operations Management tactics to land a job at Procore. Procore is a cloud-based platform software designed for construction industry businesses, which was the perfect pivot industry for me. I helped over 50 specialty construction companies achieve operational goals. By deep diving into their company’s processes, goals, and pain points, I assisted each company with options to best integrate and roll out new business practices and implement cloud-based software.
- Customer Success - I collaborated with clients to deeply understand and empathize with their pain points. I navigated individuals resistant to change and unfamiliar with technology, easing minds and leveraging personal experience to create a champion from a skeptic. While building internal information on retention tactics and customer needs.
- Operational Business Analysis – I gained experience evaluating and improving business processes spanning small to enterprise structures. I learned more about the importance of data-driven decision-making and how to leverage Power BI and other data collection in order to make better business decisions.
- Project Management – I managed several simultaneous clients, building relationships and learning how to effectively listen and ask effective questions, even when someone is not sure how to quantify an issue. I assisted them in the rollout, process optimization, and strategic planning to maximize their ROI from their technology investment.
Software/Advertising
I had the privilege to work directly with the COO & Partnerships Director as their Operations Program Manager to launch a start up style business strategy and new revenue stream at CareerBuilder.
This was a unique opportunity as it was a completely unexplored technical and business method for gaining revenue. This was an experiment in programmatic methods for monetizing jobs/candidates as commodities with “pay per event” (apply, click, view) as the method for producing charges. In addition, it started as a Partnership based structure, not client based. Everything deviated from the traditional 30 year old subscription business model. Because of this, it began completely siloed from existing business infrastructure and resources with a new scrappy team. This program saw success as we rocketed from 0$ launch to 1M$ a month in revenue in 1 year span!
- Operations Management - In the fast-paced world of Programmatic advertising, every minute counts towards revenue generation. By identifying the team's immediate needs and strategically planning ten steps ahead, I kept the team going while paving the way for future success.
- Streamlined the onboarding process for partner clients by leveraging existing technology to enhance communication between sales and technical teams.
- Developed a Jira-based tracking board for client issues, conducted weekly stand-ups to ensure engagement, and established SLAs and handoff processes.
- Program Management – In my role as Program Manager, I unified activities across departments as the Programmatic Program began to integrate into the rest of the company processes. I reconciled leaderships vision with actionable project steps to achieve those goals. I served as the SME voice for affected departments and provided critical information to leadership to make effective decisions.
- Created technical documents and recommendations for integrating Salesforce with a custom API and workflow to verify unique revenue identifiers.
- Served as driver and SME, collaborating with the Data Analytics Director to develop a comprehensive Tableau report for sales, capturing conversion data and educating the sales team on report validation.
- Realigned the billing process, Salesforce data identifiers, and discovered a break in data chain, resulting in inaccurate information to leadership regarding revenue; resulting in a larger project to better align data governance methodologies.
- Project Management – I led business-critical projects, navigating cross-departmental challenges and implementing effective change management strategies. I created comprehensive project plans, mitigated risks, and ensured prompt resolution of any blockers.
